Unioninkatu 35
Designed by architect Einari Teräsvirta, the building at Unioninkatu 35 was constructed for the disciplines of biochemistry and radiochemistry in the early 1960s. New occupants moved into the building in the 1990s when the original disciplines relocated to Viikki and Kumpula, and the facilities were renovated to meet the needs of the Faculty of Social Sciences library and the discipline of sociology. The latest repairs were completed in 2014 when the library facilities were converted into office space.
